Venezuela's Acting Leader Firmly Opposes U.S. Intervention in Nation
"We are here governing alongside the people. The Venezuelan government rules our country, no one else," Rodriguez stated during a Caracas event. "There is no foreign agent governing Venezuela."
Following the U.S. bombardment of Venezuela's capital during the operation that led to Maduro's capture, Venezuelans "remain steadfast" in their determination to defend national sovereignty, Rodriguez asserted.
Beyond honoring those killed in the U.S. assault, Rodriguez announced nationwide demonstrations would be organized demanding the presidential couple's release from American custody.
She emphasized that despite the military strike on Venezuela, the country's production, supply, and export operations continue without interruption.
